100 Students in LEAF TalentGuide Program This Year

This year more than 150 students and mentors are involved in TalentGuide, LEAF’s mentoring program that connects talented high-school students with successful university students or young professionals to guide them in their personal development, future plans and career path. TalentGuide mentors and mentees meet twice a month for six months to exchange ideas and devise action steps to guide the students in their future plans.

TalentGuide Kick-off meeting in December 2015

It all started on a cozy winter evening when the LEAF building buzzed with mentors and mentees engaging in one-on-one conversations and lively group discussions surrounding mentoring. Whether reuniting with old friends or networking with new ones, strong connections were made. The attendees included talented Slovak high-school students who are actively involved with running their own start-ups, organizing TEDx Youth, launching youth parliaments, or other projects. Several Slovak university students, currently studying at schools such as Berkley or Oxford, also attended. On the professional side, there was an eclectic range of young professionals, from programming and media gurus, financial analysts, consultants, artists, NGO activists and biologists.

The next edition of TalentGuide program will open in September 2016.
