WHAT IS LEAF ACADEMY?
LEAF Academy is an international boarding high school in Bratislava, Slovakia, offering some places for day students from Bratislava and around. Our mission is to provide a world-class education for active students from the Central European region and beyond, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds.
WHAT DO WE TEACH AND HOW?
Our unique American-style curriculum intertwines rigorous academic preparation with the intentional development of leadership, entrepreneurship, strong moral values, and self-awareness.
All parts of the curriculum are brought together through the element of practice: students experience practical real-world applications of what they are learning through cooperation on real-life projects with our business and NGO partners.
The language of instruction at our school is English.
At LEAF Academy, you will be surrounded by people who are passionate about learning, positive, respectful, and diverse. One of our school’s greatest strengths is the ability for all of us to come together to create a community that recognizably values all aspects of our Graduate Profile.
BECOME A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY
We are a high school with a strong residential program. We believe living and learning together with students from diverse backgrounds, different countries, and various cultures creates innumerable opportunities to grow. Students are guided along the way by staffulty (staff and teachers) who ensure that the time outside of the classroom is fun, safe and continues to promote self-development. Our community in numbers:
CAN I AFFORD TO STUDY HERE?
We want to make LEAF Academy accessible to talented students regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. All Students from Slovakia & Central Europe who were successful in the selection process are eligible for scholarships. LEAF Academy practices a need-blind admission which means that a candidate’s ability to pay the school fee does NOT play a part in the admission decision.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are applying from outside of Central Europe (SK, CZ, PL, HU, UA) the number of international scholarships covering full demonstrated needs is limited to 1-2 scholarship places (partial scholarships may also be available).
If you have independent funds to cover the tuition fees, you can apply through the Rolling Admission process, which is open throughout the year (more info here).
